In Another Autumn

When my daughter's two sons were small, we took the family on a trip
into Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Almost anywhere along the shores
of Lake Michigan, if one just tosses a little bread into the air,
gulls will magically appear!

And, tonight, an autumn haiku from Basho!

This autumn---
why am I growing old?
bird disappearing among clouds.

Basho
