Yesterday morning a single sandhill crane flew over, sounding its warbling bugle-call. It is thrilling to see a crane in the air. A couple of different young cardinals and two young Rose-breasted Grosbeaks fequent the feeder now. I feel quite extraordinarily pleased with the breeding success of all our feeder birds this year.
